This song came about whilst house sitting for my friends Shona and Ian. I was in a bit of a difficult position at the time, circumstantially, and I needed to be sure God wasn’t going anywhere! I was struck by how much I needed Him, in the mundane day-to-day stuff, and in the crucial moments too - the song communicates this, and so the verses tentatively ask for God to stay nearby, but at times, become more demanding in their requests for God’s presence.
