I was reading some of the last book in the Bible; Revelation, which amongst other things, talks about what will happen when God makes a new heaven and new earth. The contents of Revelation are a lot to take in. It illustrates some scenes we can’t understand – they are too far beyond our minds. When I’d finished reading it and realised that as a Christian, I believe one day I’ll stand before God, I found myself wondering how anyone could not kneel before a God who created all on heaven and earth and has the power to make it all restored and new.

When the battle is finally done
And victory has been won,
He’ll make everything new,
Put all things in their place.

Can you imagine how it will be?
There’ll be no dead in the sea,
Then the sea’s swept away
By the amazing power in him.

Will you kneel to the father?
For the one with the power to make things new?
Will you be his son or daughter
As you stand before him that day?

A new heaven,
A new earth -
Do you understand what that means?
Can you picture the gold and the glory,
As you take your place with him?
Can you imagine how you will feel?
No frowns, no tears, no pain?
And your tired body is perfect and new –
So NOW – will you kneel??

Will you kneel to the father?
For the one with the power to make things new?
Will you be his son or daughter
As you stand before him that day?
